I’ve been so excited to be involved with Pueblo Community College’s Dental Hygiene Program as one of their board advisers. While not the first academic position I’ve held, this one rings special to me due to the widening gap between access to dental hygienists and the proliferation of gum disease in Pueblo County.
While the students, faculty and support staff work incredibly hard, it doesn’t keep us from the lighter side of our community involvement … the PCC Foundation Golf Tournament.
This June marks the second year in a row I have sponsored part of the PCC Foundation Golf Tournament, however this year was the first we offered the hole-in-one for a car! Needless to say, it was a blast.
