What are snap-in dentures?
Snap-in dentures are dentures supported by dental implants rather than just gums. They are removable but provide much steadier dentures that won’t disrupt your speaking, eating habits, and daily lifestyle. By fusing with the jawbone, the dentures’ implants also support the patient’s facial structure, an advantage that traditional dentures can’t provide.

Options for snap-in dentures include:

Snap-in Dentures for the Lower Jaw (2-4 Implants)

With his advanced training, Dr. Ross can place two implants in the lower jaw using the industry-leading locator snap-in technology. For more comfort and stability, three or four implants may also be placed strategically.

That being said, even just two implants in the lower jaw can change your life. Implants and snap-in dentures resolve a myriad of problems that denture wearers face. Say goodbye to your lower denture flopping around. Say goodbye to your loss of confidence. Say hello to the food you thought you’d never eat again and feeling like yourself again!

Plus, save more money by letting Dr. Ross do the implant surgery in-house. Often implant placements can be completed in under an hour and you can walk out afterward.

Snap-in Dentures for the Upper Jaw (4 Implants)

Upper snap-in dentures supported by four implants do more than just keep dentures comfortably in place. They also allow dentures to be less bulky and feel more natural. All that thick acrylic covering your palate can be removed! Patients get their palates back, which is more important than many realize for enjoying your favorite foods.
Food’s texture, temperature, and taste are crucial elements that people miss with traditional dentures. But snap-in dentures supported by four implants give back the enjoyment and ease of eating again. Talk with Dr. Ross about the other advantages that may make snap-in dentures perfect for you!

Options for dentures include:

  • Full dentures: Full dentures replace an entire row of teeth, either upper, lower, or both. Rather than being anchored to an existing tooth or implant, traditional dentures sit on top of gums. As such, any remaining teeth will need to be extracted. Good-fitting dentures will suction to the gums to stay securely in place.
  • Partial dentures: For patients only missing a few teeth, removable partial dentures can take the place of missing teeth. Like full dentures, they are placed onto gums. However, partial dentures also contain a metal anchor that connects to adjoining teeth and allows the dentures to be removed when desired.
  • Implant-supported dentures: Some patients choose implant-supported dentures that afford greater stability and less likelihood of dentures shifting or falling out. Rather than suctioning onto gums, these dentures are permanently attached to a dental implant. They remain steadily in place, plus the jawbone is less likely to deteriorate over time with this option.
  • Snap-in dentures: Both overdentures and snap-in dentures can be removed similar to partial dentures. They can be attached to an implant (overdentures and snap-in) or a surrounding tooth (just snap-in).
  • Immediate/same-day dentures: If you’ve recently had teeth extracted, you may need a few weeks for your mouth to heal. In the meantime, you can receive immediate or same-day dentures, either full or partial, until custom dentures are created and your gums are ready for permanent dentures.
